Let's recap the latest features on the server, which have been 100% focused on creative tools.

Copy/Paste Tool

The first addition is the copy/paste tool. It allows you to copy your selection into your clipboard and paste it elsewhere in the world, or even in another world. The clipboard is shared across your worlds.

You can also rotate or flip the selection and adjust which block you're grabbing the pasting selection from.

Shape Tools

There is a series of 4 shape tools which all behave in the same way.

The shape tools introduce a new concept called "Snipe", with shared settings determining which block you're selecting at range.

Editing Snipe Settings

The shape tools have all the settings you expect, for example the sphere:

  • Pick which block to fill with.
  • What radius the sphere has.
  • Whether it's hollow or not.
  • Does the sphere have an even or odd radius.

Here are image previews of.. the previews for each shape.

Cylinder

Laser Tool

This tools lets you create a ray of blocks (or air) in the direction that you're looking at.

Aiming with the laser

You can adjust the fill block, the shape, thickness and offset from your face of the laser. It'll keep pasting through blocks if your snipe settings ignore blocks.

Erosion Tool

The Erosion tool works with block faces. For each selected block (in a cube or sphere), it'll check the connected blocks on each face whether they're air or solid and melt or add blocks depending on the settings.

The settings can be complicated, so there are presets for different uses. VoxelSniper users should feel right at home because this tool works the same way.

Blend Tool

The Blend tool is in a distant cousin of the Erosion tool, but works slightly differently. For each block in the selection, it looks at the nearby blocks and turns into the most common one.

The settings let you pick the size and what happens with air, liquids and ties in frequency.

You can check out the Blend tool and the other tools presented in this post in the above video!

Other Changes

  • Added /drop command, because of overriding the drop button for snipe.
  • Can now use /menu in the hub.
  • Bugfix: Now able to use tools below Y = 0 (overworld goes to -64 in 1.21)
  • Bugfix: /join toggle blocking too many joins.
  • Bugfix: teleport tool sneak+click.

Oh, and welcome to all of those who joined from seeing the server on the YT video!
